Federal Compliance Timeline:

In May 2024, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a rule requiring healthcare organizations to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards for their websites and mobile applications. In May 2026, HHS issued an Interim Final Rule delaying the compliance deadline by one year. Blue Ridge Medical Center’s updated compliance deadline is May 11, 2027. We remain committed to achieving full compliance and are actively working toward that goal.
