Behavioral Health Case Manager
Blue Ridge Medical Center is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Behavioral Health Case Manager. The Case Manager is responsible for providing case management services to individuals of all ages who are at risk of developing/or have chronic disease, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues. Services include developing plans for access to services, acting as a liaison with client, families, programs, and service providers; ongoing monitoring of client service needs; advocating; and consulting/educating clients, families and community. Minimum qualifications include certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as set forth by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Related Field) from an accredited college/university or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; and minimum of 2 years of related experience required. Peer Support Specialist
Blue Ridge Medical Center is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Peer Support Specialist. The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for the engagement and linking of individuals with substance use disorders prior to, during and after treatment and providing recovery support services to reduce the incidence of relapse. The goal of this position is to extend the reach of services beyond the clinical setting into the everyday environment of those seeking to achieve or sustain recovery from substance use disorders and mental illness. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent combination of training and life experience; sustained substance use and/or co-occurring recovery for a minimum of two years (recovery capital, prior recovery experience considered); knowledge of treatment and recovery resources for co-occurring substance use and mental health issues; knowledge of community resources; and eligible to certify in Virginia as Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS).
Blue Ridge Medical Center is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Certified Coder. The Certified Coder reviews, analyzes and assures the final diagnoses and procedures as stated by the practicing providers are valid and complete. This individual accurately codes office visits and procedures for providers to ensure proper reimbursement and provides education to the providers to ensure proper completion of Electronic Health Records and proper assignment of billing codes. Minimum qualifications include High School Diploma; Medical Coding Certificate - RHIT or CPC certification is required; 2 years experience using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCs or equivalency; and excellent interpersonal skills and computer competency.
Help Desk Assistant
Blue Ridge Medical Center is seeking candidates for the part-time (20 hrs/week) position of Help Desk Assistant . The Help Desk Assistant provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, voice and video software, and hardware. The Help Desk Assistant troubleshoots computer problems, determines source, and advises on appropriate action. Candidates must be able to perform a variety of maintenance, installation, and end-user support to ensure user workstations and network performance meet company and user requirements. Clinical Dental Assistant
Certified Pharmacy Technician
Blue Ridge Medical Center is seeking candidates for the full-time position of Certified Pharmacy Technician. The Certified Pharmacy Technician works as support personnel for the center’s pharmacists. This individual may be the center’s first contact with the patient and must be able to communicate well with center customers, tactfully request confidential information, and handle information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Since this position is often demanding, the CPhT should be able to remain calm and produce exceptionally accurate work under pressure. The quality of his or her workmanship greatly influences efficient operations and the patient’s perception of the professionalism and competency of the pharmacy.
Essential duties include helping pharmacists provide medication and other healthcare products to patients; contacting insurance companies as needed to establish communications with and mediate third party billing and/or payment issues; performing data entry using pharmacy computer software; contacting provider offices regarding refill authorizations; and performing tasks necessary to prepare prescribed medication for patients. Candidates must have Certified Pharmacy Technician status from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or other Virginia approved CPhT accrediting organization and current licensure by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
